The Territory’s population is ageing, and this demographic segment is predicted to grow. Consequently Territory Housing are experiencing increased demand for public housing for seniors.

As part of these new seniors village developments around 120 units will be built specifically for seniors public housing.
Bellamack Seniors Village is a $10 million project that is jointly funded by the Territory and Australian Government. The village was built by Norbuilt construction and was officially opened in December 2011.
Bellamack Seniors Village consists of 40 one and two bedroom units specifically designed to meet the needs of senior tenants.
In Alice Springs, Larapinta Seniors Village is due for completion in 2012. The village will provide 18 one and two bedroom units.
Stamp duty concessions are available to help eligible seniors buy a home.
