
This year more than 50 tenants entered the competition in Darwin, Palmerston, Katherine, Pine Creek and Nhulunbuy. The Darwin Awards Presentation ceremony was held on Monday 5 October at the Jingili Water Gardens. All participants received a certificate of recognition for entering and 16 prizes were awarded to public housing tenants who take pride in their gardens. An awards presentation for Nhulunbuy entrants was held at the home of the winner of the Best House Garden category on Monday 26 October. Katherine winners were announced at a presentation held on Friday 30 October at the Knotts Crossing Resort.
